Cruise your boat around the eastern half of the U.S. and Canada
These are the legs of our Loop Cruise aboard High Life, our 36-foot Grand Banks trawler. We left from our home near the Chesapeake Bay and returned just shy of a year later after cruising north on the east coast to the Hudson River, Erie Canal and Lake Ontario. Then we crossed Lake Ontario into Canada across their system of locks and canals. We returned to U.S. waters in Lake Huron and then on Lake Michigan to Chicago and the inland river system to Mobile and the Gulf Coast. We cruised the southwest coast of Florida and crossed to the east coast via the Okeechobee Waterway. From there it was a homebound cruise heading north on the Intracoastal Waterway to the Chesapeake Bay. In that time we returned home in August for a few weeks and then in December through January for the holidays.
It was the adventure of a lifetime!
