The middle month of sumer is a busy time. Kids take on summer school and summer jobs, while others book weekend beach trips and vacation get-aways. Summer weddings and reunions draw many friends and families together to celebrate in warm and relaxing weather.
July 4, Thursday is Indepenence Day, a federal holiday celebrating our country’s Declaration of Independence which was ratified on July 4, 1776 by the Second Continental Congress. It’s a day of gathering for cookouts, parades and fireworks and plenty of ice cream.
July 21, Sunday is Full Deer Moon because early Native Americans saw how the antlers of deer competed their growth to full size. This day is the second full moon of the summer after the solstice.
